7. Adjustment

7.1 Adjustment of Conveyor Belt

  • After replacing or removing the conveyor belt for cleaning, be sure to check the belt tension.
  • If the upper conveyor belt is loose and skids, turn the right and left belt adjusting bolts equally clockwise to tighten the belt.
  • The belt adjusting bolts for the upper conveyor belt can be turned by the hexagonal wrench key (6 mm) included in the accessory kit.
  • If the upper conveyor belt is loose and skids, loosen the stopper belt adjusting bolts, turn the right and left belt adjusting bolts equally clockwise to tighten the belt.

If the conveyor belt comes into contact with the side wall, adjust it according to the following procedure.

  • ① Set the “Size” to a larger value on the operating panel, and increase the conveyor belt feed rate (for reducing the adjustment time).
  • ② Turn the belt adjusting bolt on the wall-contact side a half turn clockwise, and turn the belt adjusting bolt on the non-contact side a half turn counterclockwise(when the lower conveyor is adjusted, loosen the stopper of belt adjusting bolts, loosen the stopper of belt adjusting bolts and turn the right and left belt adjusting bolts).
  • ③ While watching the wall-contact side, adjust it until the belt does not come into contact the side wall(after adjusting the lower conveyor belt).

!IMPORTANT

  • Never continue operations while the belt comes into contact with the side wall.

NOTE

  • When a conveyer is removed at the time of cleaning, there is no need to loosen the stopper.

7.2. Adjustment of Snap Fastener

The snap fastener, which holds the hood disk with the conveyor frame, is located on the right side of the hood disk. If this fastener is loose, the hood disk may move dangerously during operations and could cause injury. For adjustment, properly tighten the inner screw in a fastened position with a flat-blade screwdriver, which should be inserted through the lever hole as shown in the figure below.

NOTE

  • If the screw is excessively tightened, the snap fastener may break.
